Founding Law
- Law on Credit Guarantee of Academic Promotion and Education Loans (Law No. 7602 : 2005. 7. 18) Act 14
Founding Objectives
- To promote and support academic activities, including conducting researches, domestic/ international exchanges and cooperation.
- To upgrade research quality through its support of academic research foundations and new researchers.
Primary functions
- Establishment and implementation of programs to support research activities
- Execution and management of academic research funds
- Provision of subsidies for operating academic research organizations
- Support of domestic/international academic exchanges
- Supply of facilities and accommodation for academic activities
- Collection and management of academic research resources
- Carrying out researches related to academic promotion
- Evaluation/management and application of research results
- Conducting surveys, analyses/evaluation and collecting statistics on support and management of researches conducted in universities
- Supporting and nurturing other academic activities
- Management of raising/operating scholarship funds
- Provision of scholarships or education loans
