Program Purpose
- To maintain continuity of academic research activities and improve qualitative research capacity by providing opportunities for researchers with doctoral degrees to be trained at research institutions
- To assist outstanding next-generation researchers who have doctoral degrees to concentrate solely on research activities at university research centers
Program Scope
- Support Budget: Humanities & Social Science Field--KW9.2billion, Science & Engineering Field?KW11billion
- Support Field: The entire academic field
Applicant Qualifications
- Type I (Post-doctoral Domestic Training): Researchers who have acquired a doctoral degree in less than 5 years ago.
- Type II (Post-doctoral Overseas Training): Researchers who have acquired a doctoral degree in less than 5 years ago.
- Type III (Academic Research Professors): Researchers who have acquired a doctoral degree
Support Contents
- Support Scope
- Post-doctoral Training: Domestic Training?KW27 million per year Overseas Training?KW25 million per year (including airfare)
- Academic Research Professors: KW36 million per person
- Support Period: Post-doctoral domestic training (1~2years) / post-doctoral overseas training (1 year) / academic research professors (3 years)
Screening Procedures: 3 stages (Requisites Screening, Major Study Screening, General Screening)
Future Execution Schedule
- Feb, 2009 Public Invitation of the Program
- Mar 20~27, 2009 Reception of Applications (In the case of overseas training, applicants should be able to stay overseas for the training from Jul 1 to Dec 31, 2009)
- Apr~Jun, 2009 Preparation for the screening & Screening
- Jun 30, 2009 Notification of Selection Results (expected schedule)
- Jul 1, 2009 Commencement of the training
